Third time lucky, after my two previous attempts at driving to FRA ended up in traffic jams. Unfortunately the planes I had wanted to see (Lufthansa A380, AeroLogic B777-F) where on the wrong runway. The photos here are from planes landing on 25L. While runway 25R might be very close to 25L, it is still just far enough for heat-haze to mess up the photos.
When there are no planes to spot, then the Autobahn A5 also provides excellent shots.
