I doubt it but are there any apiculturist's

frequenting these forums.

My mother found this bug in our conservatory this morning and has been worrying ever since that it may be some strange breed of bee, that we should call out the local agricultural “Special Forces Unit” to exterminate it, and any others before they breed with our local bees and form a hybrid killer bee which will wipe out civilisation as we know it.

Sorry for the slight fuzziness, I used a long exposure and the little ‘bug’ger kept on moving, however I believe it to be a “Brown Bee” anyone have any idea ?

After posing for a few shots with the macro facility on the wife’s 70-300 it was removed to the garden and placed on a suitable flower by our pond, where it promptly fell off and drowned.

Looks like Bombus Humilis to me, too.

I hope you fed it, watered it and accorded it all due rights under the Geneva Convention, Ian. 😉
