Just a question!

How many airports around the world are set to receive the A380? I know here in Australia, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide are ready for it or will soon ber ready for it, Brisbane will have work started later this year for it and Perth early next year, nothing about any other airport.

It is an Airbus issue, they say ‘delays in flight testing and delays in finalising cabin configurations’. Qantas may seek compensation for the delay!

Why are they doing that? And more importantly, why hasn’t Qantas mentioned anything?

I think Qantas has made a comment on how dissapointed they are with Airbus because of the delay.

For what it is worth…cos Airbus is now delaying Qantas’ A380 deliveries by 6 months!

No more than 40 airports I think, I saw it on a list a few months ago on Airbus.com.

In the first round for 2006 goes something like this: SFO, LAX, YUL, JFK, EWR, MIA, CDG, FRA, LHR, JED, DXB, KHI, BKK, KUL, SIN, SYD, MEL, AKL, NRT, HKG, ICN

But there’s a couple more that are ready, but will not receive any scheduled A380 services for the time being (like Munich e.g.)

I know the main runway at Melbourne,34/16, has just recently re-opened after alterations, but the aprons are still under modification
