I did the ‘switch it off and on again’ trick with the router. But i never worked. But i left it for a while and it pretty much seems to be working again. About from that i have a bad signal strength at the other end of the house.

What ISP are you on? I’m on NTL. This seems to be one of the few websites to load. Airliners.net took a few attempts, sites such as Yahoo will not load at all. And msn wont work.
Are you using a router? ie. Wireless. Im on Tesco.net (parents choice, i keep asking them to change to tiscali!)

Yes, my mate is on wireless and he finds that the signal quality is somtimes low and the internet goes mega slow if so try refreshing the connection.

Been speaking to loads of people all on NTL whos internet has gone funny, really annoying when your trying to get something off ebay

I’m on a wireless connection too with Wanadoo broadband, admittedly it’s not always the best connection as the wireless signal can be blocked b other sources and sites will not load but mine has never had a permanent problem as yet.
I even have the option to repair the connection by right clicking on the logo in the taskbar, if that doesn’t work a good old fasioned simple restart of the computer usually does the trick!
It may be worthwhile calling your ISP Servicedesk line to get a solution.
