I was very saddened to just read that the brilliant comedienne Linda Smith, whom I’ve come to know and love through listening to The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Havent A Clue, has died.

What a huge loss to British comedy. She was so funny and so intelligent.

I found her very quick and funny like the one about “whats the problem about kids getting ASBO’s? Its likley to be the only qualification their ever going to get.”

Sad news. Who can forget her singing (!) ‘Bob the builder’ to the tune of ‘Climb every moutain’ on ‘I’m sorry I haven’t a clue’.
