Can I take this opportunity to remind you all that any complaints about moderation on these Forums should be made directly to the Webmaster, either by PM or by e-mail?

Thanks

Hand87_5, apart from the article linked to at the top of the thread, not one posting in this discussion so far has mentioned aviation at all.

I think that fact probably answers your question.

Back to the subject of the thread now, please.

OK – this is about politics and not aviation.

Off to General Discussion, tout de suite.

You consider that a tax on Airline tickets is not about “Aviation” ?

Can’t we begin with Our Beloved Crook-President ?

Actually, not that beloved but I love your idea.

As for the original thread, I’m amazed that nobody never suggest to tax the massive money on the stock markets !!!!

that’s right it’s easier to tax people like you and me.

The only true answer is to oust the corrupt governments and war lords of the third world countries and let the already plentifull flow of aid money actually get to those who need it.

This tax is NOT the answer. It will only continue to feed the aforementions corrupt governments and warloards

Though this is true in parts not all African governemnts are corrupt and some are trying to implement aid programs to help their citizens. However we in the UK & USA aren’t helping with aid that is tied to restrictions to stop the country developing and spending money on flagship projects & military. (The UK is the world’s biggest exporter of arms). It just shows the hipocricy of western governments 😀

What a totally stupid way to raise money for charities. If people want to donate, let them do it voluntarily. Why must they be forced into doing it?

Exactly. This is a negative way and will probably, most likely generate negative responses. Will be interesting though, what happens.
