I got one question on you, guys and ladies..
How do you call the small piece of fabric that is placed on the inner side of the neck portion of a T-shirt or jacket and indicates the brand or producer? It is another silly vocabular bet with my brother and looks like he got me on this one.. I need to resolve this by tomorrow! 🙂
Do you call it a ‘tag’ or is the ‘tag’ rather the paper thing or leaflet hanging down from a brand new shirt when purchased?
I mean this small black one, for example..
Thanks for your help..

Definately a label.
I would consider ‘tag’ to be more of a temporary thing, as in ‘Price tag’

Tag is what I would call the bit that says price, size etc. The inside bit is the label.
