Radio 4, Christmas Eve at 11am will be broadcasting the rules of the “most devilishly awkward” game – Mornington Crescent.
It is being hosted by Andrew Marr, so it must be serious.
I’ll miss it as I will be out of the country, but if anyone listens and finds out what the name of the rule is which prevents alternate Piccadilly/Circle line stations being mentioned three times in succession, please let me know.
Maybe Mrs Trellis has the answer.

I sadly missed it.

Did anyone listen?
Anything to report?
Yup, I heard the first half. Nothing new, just the conventional rule set really.

Sorry – I completely forgot about it. Must be my age, as you so decently pointed out elsewhere! :p

Gray Area: Your paganistic tendencies are beginning to show. A good dose of prune juice should see you right.

Bethlehem South (on the Far East London Line)
That’s not the rule is it? A station surely?
Janie, I will listen with intent – well my lounge anyway – and if I hear, will let you know for a small fee………….

Raymond Baxter has also done a Mornington Crescent information programme in the past.
I’m sure the letter from Mrs. Trellis will flood in. 😀
