Try this quiz!
And we, the aircraft buffs who know them all, go for the ‘very hard’ option, don’t we?

My score:

What’s yours?
Good luck!
Tillerman.

I love it!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

23 out of 24. Flunked the floatplane which was a He-115, not some Japanese thingie.
Some are just too easy to guess: if you can read Fuerza Aerea Argentina, and one of the options is something called FMA IA-35 Huanquero, it’s a safe guess. Even if it’s the first time you see the aircraft.

21 / 24 very hard – interesting pictures it comes up with but the answer can be obvious
22/24 on easy – got one where ‘Airwolf’ was the answer 🙂

23/24 – Very Hard – I could’ve sworn it was a Do.17 and not a Do.215… Oh well

I got 22 of 24 right in the easy setting! Odd!

20 out of 24 on the very hard one : some of them were ridiculously easy, but others were damn difficult

I’ve just done the test again, this time in easy mode, and I too got 21/24 after getting 23/24 in very hard mode: odd. There were far more modern aircraft in this one than in the very hard one and as I stopped learning them soon after jets and choppers came in I am less likely to do well. But presumably the compiler of the test is much younger than I am so the more modern ones seem easier to him.

Tried it a second time on the very hard setting and got 21 right of the 24 displayed.

23 out of 24 in very hard mode – 21 out of 24 in easy mode! Found the easy one harder than the very hard one actually…. something not right there me thinks

23 out of 24 in Very Hard mode. However, having four possible answers was a help in several cases, particularly when three of them are patently ridiculous!

24/24 in very hard mode too 🙂

Ha – just did the easy one and got this…
Guessed it had to be Aurora since it didn’t look like a Piper Cub, a B36 Peacemaker, or an X15!
Will it be at Legends?

Just got 23/24 – failed since I am not well versed in WWII era Romanian fighter cockpits…
Have to say for an apparently very hard test when even the picture shows the aircrafts name (in my case F16XL and F20 Tigershark) on it it is a giveaway! Another pic was of something that looked like a B737 in the US Air Force: the choices were Lockheed Lodestar, Fokker F28 Fellowship, C131 Samaritan, or C40 Clipper. Having discounted two because this was a jet and they weren’t, I went for the one that looked like it would be wearing USAF markings…
Nice, but subjective.

got 18/24 here on the very hard, got me rusty bits thinking about some of the eastern stuff!
By: Flood - 5th November 2005 at 08:17
Worrying.
It showed a very obviously modified Harvard/T6 (the wheel-wells and wing join gave it away) but identified it as a Mitsubishi A6M Zero-Sen…
24/24

I got 23/24 on the Very Hard setting – I had to think Very Hard about a couple of them, too. 😀
I got my Yaks mixed up……. 😮

18 right on expert for me as well. I think I got most of the WWII era planes wrong 😀
By: Shadow1 - 5th November 2005 at 02:15
I just tried it and I had eighteen right as well on the expert level. I have to admit that some of the aircraft they showed, I had never seen before.
