N.Korea to give up nukes

yep..

Give up nukes in condition that other countries (namely the US) grants energy and security guarantees.. is this a preferred solution? or avoids solving a continuing problem.

The latest news is that North Korea will not relinquish its nuclear weapons program until it gets a guarantee that the US and its allies will supply them with civilian nuclear powerplants!
And I thought it would take Kim Il Jong a couple of weeks to pull back on his word. I should have known better! Well, let’s see how long this will take to resolve! 😡

Sounds like more of the same kind of deal the Clinton administration though they had with NK until it became obvious that they were had. This is only step one in an ongoing process which the Dear Leader will string out as long as possible then sign up for more economic aid and go right back to developing nukes in a cave somewhere. The problem will then be greater, and they will be selling bombs to others. Why the U.S., Japan, China, Russia and SK believe that signing a deal with a F**king fruitcake is going to work, is hard to understand.

My sentiments exactly! Let’s see where these resolutions stand even two weeks from now!

You are as cynical as me. I was about to say something along the same lines myself. I think it is merely a ploy to get the world off their case so they can carry on where they left off before they were interrupted.
