Register for NWAN and get spammed?

Hi Chaps,

Has anyone registered from NWAN (North West Air News) and shortly thereafter started getting spam problems? I have.

I did a whois lookup and checked the originating domain of the spam which looked spookily similar though not identical to the domain of the NWAN registration and guess what? It’s the same company.

I am a teensy bit annoyed about this.

I know it’s possible that the originating domain of the spam has been spoofed in some way but I somehow feel that the simplest solution is the most likely.

Any thoughts? Especially from the mods and webbies here who may have heard something. Please contact off-list (PM) if it’s a sensitive issue. If this is a terribly sensitive issue please feel free to delete the post and tell me all about it.
