Saw the theatre trailer this weekend, it’s close to completion because it gets released in December and it also stars Andy Serkis (of Gollum fame)…the time frame is the late 30’s (like the original) and it looked really pretty good….at least better than the other crap that was coming out….however, ‘Narnia: The lion the Witch and the Wardrobe’ also looked like it might be worth a go…

Everyone knows what Kong is, though.
I don’t think that’ll be the finished article – if it was, the film would be out by now to cater for the summer audiences.
No, I think the finished item will do the original justice – at least it’s not a dude in a monkey suit!
Everyone knew what Godzilla was….yes….but…. if they had just shown glimpses then the audiences who had seen the trailer might have thought about how big this kong would be and what will the cgi be like and how is different and have some suspense built up. Instead we know what he will look like- utter rubbish, like cgi usually does when it is used in a central role (ie not to create the modern equivelant of a matte background of add extra background people which it does very well).
Personally im sick of modern mainstream films. I tend to stick to independant cinemas now because multiplexs tend to show films that cater for those with the attention span/mindset of a child.

not very clever of them to reveal king kongs appearance in the trailer (particularly when it looks so horridly done). Despite the film being rubbish, the Godzilla trailer at least built up some suspense. As did the early Jurassic Park teasers.

It will be to those that don’t see the trailer.

I don’t really like remakes, there not a patch on the originals. I suppose the appearance of the T-Rex will have everyone on the edge of their seats.

thanks to the trailer it won’t be a surprise though.

Now the Empire State building scene should be worth watching though. The question is will be biplanes be at legends? 😀 😀 😀
Sorry couldn’t resist.

Do you think they’ll have the classic scene of King Kong on the empire state building with biplanes shooting at it? I hope so!

Looks good, I wonder how long the ‘Special Extended Edition’ will be? 🙂

It looks pretty darn good at least, and the original is one of my all-time fave movies!

I bet it’s not a patch on the 1933 classic starring Fay Wray!!!

Peter Jackson should be able to pull off an ass-kicker of a remake, and it looks about 80-90% close to the original 🙂

Looks good bet it cost a lot to make 😉 Anna 😀
