This one has been a long time coming… and i’m sure most of us will have something to contribute.
A very strict limit of 3 photos per user this week. And only one post per user.
I’d like to encourage everyone to post something. It doesn’t matter how old your pictures are, and how unlikely they are to make it onto the photo sites. Let’s all make a contribution because i think that whether you know it or not we all have something to add.
Here are my 3 – a twotter on the beach at Barra and a couple of Heavies at Heathrow. I look forward to seeing all of yours!
Any requests for next week in a PM please 🙂

Just two from me, both of which I have posted up on here before, but thought I would post them up again, especially the second one as I really like it with the tails of the other BA aircraft in the background.
Jon Love that First Ba Shot 🙂

Grey area….Is there any way to increase the memory space for attachments or is the only solution deletion of old posts?
The latter, I’m afraid. Old attachments, at least.

I to had to make some choices, if there are objections to adding some more history I will remove the post

These threads were Andrew’s idea, and I’m sure the vast majority of us will agree that they’ve been a success.
I think we should respect his wishes.

That’s a good thought actually. Andrew created the thread so it’s only right it’s his call I think. Any thoughts, Andrew?
Paul
I think it’s clear to most of us why the restriction is in place and what would happen if we removed the restriction (we’ve seen it in other threads!). What I might be inclined to do on future threads is what I did with the JAL thread a couple of weeks ago; one shot of each aircraft per person… Any thoughts?

[QUOTE=longshot;1533945]i would have thought a max of 3 pics per day per person might be more suitable for a huge long lived airline like BA…that would stop anyone swamping the thread, but give space for the history/QUOTE]

Airlines of the week uploads
I maxed out on my attachment allowance , hence the removals and alterations on previous uploads….i would have thought a max of 3 pics per day per person might be more suitable for a huge long lived airline like BA…that would stop anyone swamping the thread, but give space for the history….mine are on airliners and abpic so they can always be accessed by photographer/airline/date, anyway

Nice images, guys!
Is anyone else having compression problems with Photobucket? It seems to be putting massive and extremely annoying amounts of compression on my images and it’s really annoying me! (Spalding, before you say it the compression wasn’t there in the first place!)
Paul
Addition:- If anyone else is having this problem I’ve just found a way round it! When saving the image you’re going to upload do it at a lower file size, so if you use Photoshop to edit then save at 10 or 11 instead of 12. This doesn’t really affect the image quality too much and it means Photobucket has less compressing to do itself (and Photobuckets’ compression is much more harsh than Photoshop). Oddly enough, Photobucket not only compressed the original images I uploaded dramatically, but it also stripped out any additional information like EXIF data and colour space info, meaning the images would look wildly different on colour managed browsers like Safari and non-colour managed browsers like IE.
Damned technology!

Probably the only sun you saw all year! 😎
Nah, it was one of two bits of sun I saw last year although I did have to go to Tokyo for the other bit!
