How's your day going??

Well, aside from piddling down with rain here in sunny Edinburgh, I’m now having to do even more work to web pages that I thought were in full working order the other day, and it’s well fecking me off!! 😡

I’m sure those asshats in our IT department are buggering about with them!

But, it’s Friday, and I’ve just been paid, so it’s not all bad at the moment. Still got another four hours to sit through, however.

Becka/Ian.. I think you’ve got the right idea.. hows that song go – “If it makes you happy, it cant be that bad” 😉

Soemone in a Chevrolet Tahoe (middling-large size SUV) tried to force me into the oncoming traffic coming back to work at lunchtime. – filtering down drom two lanes to one and she wasn’t going to apply a filter, oh no. I never used to believe what they said about Kansas drivers (the people who said it were all from Missouri) but I am starting to believe it’s true. Fortunately there’s no sexual bias – they’re all crap.

It’s a lovely day here, I’ve got two fantastic dogs and a fantastic wife, Godley and Creme on the PC CD drive and a job with a very fast internet connection and not a whole lot to do right now. (!)

Just got to do something about the standards of driving in the Midewestern states. 😀

Very tired, my mates on leave from the army and it was a drinking session until 5am this morning – but hey I finish work at 8 and after an hours drive home, it’s a shower and then out on the pull……

Have a good weekend all.

Dreadlocks. That I’ve got to see. 😀

Might take a while Mark, bearing in mind your starting point.

My day has been nice.

Lowestoft Airshow had fine weather. It was planned to be dads and kids – me, whippersnapper, Steve and Haydn. It didn’t happen. I decided to go anyway, and was invited to join some friends with their kids.

I got sat down on the beach, somewhere we go very regularly, and the Red Arrows were up. There was a huge heart in the sky. They added another.

Eloise finally saw here first Hurricane. She saw loads of others and enjoyed, at last, her first airshow. She enjoyed splashing around and playing with sand. She enjoyed her TWO ice creams. She enjoyed being with dad and with friends. She is napping now.

On the way back I bought a couple of bottles of Kwak to enjoy with Mrs Snapper tonight, and picked up Empire of the Sun on VHS too. You know why.

My day was good, though tinged with sadness.

But hey, just because others have a bad day doesn’t mean you can’t bitch about your own lesser problems. I bitch all the time. It provides a pleasurable release from the things I bitch about. Not every day is fun. But if you don’t like what you’re doing, stop. Walk away. I handed my notice in this week. I don’t want to drive an hour and a half to work, see my family in the morning or in the evening and not have sundays off. I don’t want people being rude to me because I am behind a counter. I don’t want to be judged on what the latest mystery shopper has scored me it (nb – 3 MS reports, all excellent. But that’s not the point. I am not 40-45 thank you, bitch.) Nope, on 25th August Snapper is outta here. He’s growing dreadlocks, doing a degree two days a week (Photography, so something enjoyable) and being at home more. But hell, I’ll still find something to bitch about.

Sitting here in my usual self-unemployed fashion thinking things could be worse.

At least it’s not ### down like it did all day yesterday. (Saved mods the trouble of editing missing word. :))

not a bad day all told, have finished work, have got a replacement window for the car and fitted it (a slight misshap on the A1, a large stone was thrown up by a truck and it went streight through the drivers door window, if i’d have been constipated that would have cured it straight away 😮 ), have done a couple of other jobs on the car too and am sat here eating some nice smoked haddock with chips (french fries ) and a side salad, and have a large mug of tea to wash it all down with. so…..

LIFE IS GOOD, so please don’t waste it, 🙂

all the best.

And at least you’re alive Daz…remember that.

wot she said ^

Just remember no matter how bad you think things are, you haven’t got any problems at all, not really, not when you give a couple of minutes thought to Steve Young’s family.

I’m on 14hr night shifts, yes it sucks, and hell yes I wish I was tucked up in bed with my wife and 2 week old daughter tonight but I know I’m keeping a roof over their heads by going to work 😉

Ben, what the hell were you doing in a wheelbarrow?!? 😀

moving bricks!!! :diablo: :diablo: But boss said it was OK. He told me there was little to do but I said I didn’t mind. However, days are going slowly. 🙁 The only thing they expect me to do is to whistle when a good looking woman is crossing the street :D. But I can’t complain, it beats folding boxes. 🙂 And I get a nice tan (if it doesn’t rain).

Ian, when I left uni, I decided it was time to calm down a bit, put my feet a bit more firmly on the ground…but the last week has made me realise that maybe I got a bit too sensible. If I want to go the cinema too see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and go for a meal afterwards I just will now, if it means sticking a bit on the overdraft to do so (Spitfire polishers don’t get massive wages sadly :() so be it…I can always do a bit of overtime or sell something on ebay to pay for it 🙂

Well started my summer-holiday job today to pay for my trip to Namibia next month. I earn a nice 10 euro’s an hour sitting outside enjoying the weather :D. I even fell asleep in a wheelbarrow this afternoon when it started to rain (which IMHO is an excellent replacement for your regular couch). However, I wish I could do more but there’s just little work left for me. 😎

Life is for living I’ve decided, look for the good in life – like you’re at work but you’ve got the forum for company, you’ve got money in your pocket to go out for a meal with your girlfriend or buy her some nice flowers, or you could go to the pub with some mates tonight etc etc 🙂

Well, this is true, but I thought others would like the chance to moan on here, too!
