Military Press

I am not sure if I will make any progress here, but as I believe members of the defence press are members of this forum I thought I would ask the following;

How does one get involved in this industry / career stream? I have worked for the UK’s Ministry of Darkness for over ten years and have build up a substantial knowledge base of military matters. With the current uncertainty about civilian posts within the MOD I am looking to pursue a career in what I believe I have a natural aptitude for. Are ther posts out there for analysts or researchers? I know I am shooting blind here, but work in these fields within the MOD is harder to find than a season ticket to the local Free Masons.

If anybody has contacts or can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
