Well, the Poms have been thoroughly thrashed by the All Blacks, and there was never even a glimour of competitive spirit in the Lions team in any of the tests compared to what we expected. Actually, the word disgraceful comes to mind… But despite the disappointing lack of competition, I want to say how pleased I was to see how brilliant the Lions fans have been! We’ve had tens of thousands of British and Irish fans flood into the country, and despite being beaten rotten they’ve been fantsastic folk.
The Lions may have been a big let down for us all, and Clive Woodward should be shot several times, slowly, but the fans are definately welcome back anytime. Most of you are off home now, within the week, and I hope you had a brilliant time in NZ. Cheers, and Haire Mai!

Egg chasery is not our national game – so the majority of us Brits give not one jot about the Lions humiliation. We’d give the Kiwis a spanking should we play them at the World Game in a competitive match…

Yep, three nil. And we were lucky to get nil. Must have been an awful long way to go, just to get a caning. 🙁

I don’t normally bother much with rugby, but that clive woodward ahole managed to annoy me. When He had his excuses speech after the game he managed to sound smug and condesending. Perhaps if we could win the world cup we would understand what he does better and what he has gone through. Ironically the only players that hadn’t won a world cup that played in those three games were from Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. New Zealand won the first world cup, but clive seems to have not remembered that fact. Of course before the IRB took over the Rugby World cup it was only the Australians, the New Zelanders and a Japanese businessman who thought it would work and actually made it happen… but when it took off and made a bit of money then the IRB dug its claws in and make quite a bit of money out of it now too thank you very much.
Rant over.

Well I’m no expert but I don’t think that the Lions train together nearly as often as they perhaps should. If they were an international team such as England, Scotland, Ireland (Ulster), Wales etc they would not be anywhere near so easy to beat. But while the nationalist spirit persists (I have no beef with this by the way I am not commenting on wether I think this is right or wrong so don’t bother flaming me I won’t respond) this ain’t going to happen. Of course though if GB were a national team the lads from the Irish Republic would not be in it. Sure they want to win but in truth its more a bit of fun than a proper international. Its not exactly suprising that the All Blacks won really though is it? They never were an easy team to beat anytime by anyone and you don’t get much more part time than the Lions so don’t get all superior on us will you?
