I have a few. I’m still working on them. A WW2 British Supermarine Stranraer & a German (navy?) Tornado fighter. I got the first in an aviation bookshop on Holloway road,North London & the Tornado in a toy department in a London department store (John Lewis).

Collectors Aircraft Models is a great site, I got the three Russians below from them. Hope to get the XB-70 and a different Tu-144 from them in the future.

I’ve also got a bunch of the Model Power planes, a Dragon Wings Lawn Dart, and a 1/72 diecast Su-34 (forget who made it). And a gigantoid wooden B-2A desktop model as well.

I mostly prefer diecast display models as I lack the required skills necessary for assembling the plastic kind 😀

I have a small collection of 1/500 aircraft, mainly Herpa..although recently added two Starjets Thomas Cook 757…which had to come from Germany cos non available anywhere else :(. www.collectorsaircraft.com is generally considered one of the leaders in the UK.

I’ve got some of the smaller Corgi jobs, with a Spitfire, Mustang and Bf109 on my desk at work, but I do have the 1/32nd 19 Sqdn. Spitfire Mk1a. It’s packed away in its box as I don’t have anywhere safe enough to put it! 🙁

Die cast or plastic??

All metal. Mostly Corgi Aviation Archive but the big…and very heavy fort !!!. is from Franklin Mint (got another one in the loft but thats a F model Fort in RAF cammo colour scheme). Th Mustangs and the Stearman are all money banks.

I’m just waiting for the other two big Mossies I ordered to arrive from Corgi…..whats involved in getting planning permission for a hangar in the back garden ?
