Very nice pics, especially the Ryanair logojet and the 752 at Finningley.

With all those hangars there is it likely that someone might take the airport on as a maintenance base?

Actually, LFC, I think you’ll find that one of the pictures is of B737-800 G-CDZN (c/n 32903), currently on lease to Thomsonfly.

That terminal looks much better than LBA, IMO.

Yeah, but thats a brand new terminal, geared for millions of PAX.

LBA has had to add ‘bits’ on to support the rapid growth of the airport, the only way LBA will look that good is if they knock the terminal down and start again, not gonna happen.

The terminal looks exactly the same as LPL – that will be because it is!!!

The terminal really does look superb, even as a big LBA person, I really hope DSA succeeds.

Extremely impressed with DSA.(but just for Grey, we were cleared direct Finningley by London!) With one bound, Peel have constructed a terminal far superior to Leeds or Humberside. Coupled with a huge runway (over 9000ft long, 60m wide) and a fine apron, I really can’t see it failing. I’ve heard folks moaning about access, but it only took about 10 minutes to get onto the M18 from DSA. With a direct link planned from the M18 though, the future has to be bright.

Nice shots, like the TCX.

Still early days for DSA, will get much busier.

Some nice shots there, particularly like the last TOM.

Has there been any news there about how operations are going at DSA? Any problems, and any news on load factors from the main airlines?

i was at Robin Hood today for the first time, dropping some people off, who were catching the Thomsonfly flight to las palmas i believe, very impressed with the terminal building and drop off facilities, although not impressed with parting with a quid for a luggage trolley or the road into it….if it ever becomes busy…they will need upgrading
