I’m sick of hearing about it, the press has gone mad in this country. It’s taking up at least the first 10 minutes ,of every news program, and the first nine pages of the Melbourne Herald Sun. They’re interviewing bloody people she went school with. There are hundreds of people diagnosed with it every day, for Christ sake get a grip!!!!!

It’s not news and has nothing to do with anyone.

You may be right, so-called celebrities have as much right to their privacy as anyone else despite what the press thinks. But it was her that decided to tell the public, it wasn’t leaked by the press as far as I’m aware.

And I guess many people do have the right to know because she was about to start a sold out tour in Aussie. She couldn’t just cancel without an excuse. Imagine how the press would handle that – especially if they got wiff of a medical problem. Journalists can be such mindless vultures sometimes.

With luck, someone with her profile can do loads to raise awareness of Breast Cancer, and I hope she will. Every cloud etc. Good luck Kylie.

The interesting thing is that she had previously shown some public and fund raising support for the major breast cancer charity.

I’ve never met her, and it may just be really slick promotion by her legion of publicists, but I always get the impression that she’s a really nice and down-to-earth person with no diva pretensions.

I worked with briefly about 6 or 7 years ago Moggy and can confirm your suspicions are correct.

As for her sister however, well you can keep her under the troll bridge where she belongs. 😮 Har har !!!! :diablo:

I too hope that it’s caught in time and she makes a total recovery, very quickly.

In the meantime I think I’ll run THE Agent Provocateur cinema ad again. 😮

I saw a posting elsewhere saying that breast examinations for women, and testicle examinations for men are imperative as we get older but many of us skip it.

Kylie, if you are reading this….

…. I’ll do yours, and you can do mine

The news reports have all said it was caught early and there is a much better survival rate now than even ten years ago.

We all wish her well.

Poor Kylie, but well done Kylie!

I am so impressed at her being so open about it. I’m sure her bravery in announcing this will help fund raising and also just raising the profile of this terrible disease.
It killed my grandmother in 1971 and the huge in-roads that have developed since then make me feel that Kylie will probably come through this. I certainly hope so.

Just goes to show, it doesn’t matter who you are, this evil disease doesn’t discriminate. Good luck to her, I hope it’s been caught early enough.

It said that the problem was caught in the evry early stages, so treatment should be effective I would think. Hope she makes a full recovery.
