Summer Hols

Got Dublin (day-trip) and the Dominican Republic (two-weeks), why my parents booked from MAN and not BHX is beyond me 😉 but looking foreward to travelling on a B732 and A332! :D…….New York may be on the cards also for September. 🙂

I’m going to Germany for 5 days in June to catch some Confederations Cup action (got tix for Greece’s matches vs. Japan and Mexico 😀 😀 😀 ) and also to visit some of the wife’s relo’s. After that, off to Greece for a month visiting more relo’s (wife’s and mine) perhaps catch a few islands. Prior to coming back home at the end of July, I’d like to hit up Portugal again (was there last summer), or another Euro pitstop for a few days. That’s the bulk of my holidays. I’ve got a couple of weddings coming up in the next month prior to going to Europe, however. One takes me to Montreal and the other to NYC. These trips will assist me in meeting my MP premier exec quota for the year, assuming UAL stays affloat, of course.

It’s the start of winter here so i might head up north to see the Grandchildren on the sunny Gold Coast and escape the nasty weather for a few weeks

Two weeks on Monday I will be flying to Norway to spend a week visiting memorials, cemeteries and crashsites commemorating RAF airmen lost in WW2 during attacks against Tirpitz. With me will be the 80 year old sister of a W/Op A/G who lost his life and the son of a pilot who also lost his life during these attacks in 1942. I’m sure it will be a memorable week for all concerned.

Corsair gathering in Connecticut, first part of June…then from there down to DC to spend some time with my brother, tour the USS New Jersey, then drive over to Pittsburgh to see my dad and fly home from there…

And hopefully play host to Andy in Beds in late June at the EAA fly in here in Denver….but not sure as yet…

Only around the midlands in July. On thursaday the 8th? I’ll be in Cosford with a bunch of my virtual squadron from IL-2 Sturmovik. Friday I hope to be in DX watching the final preps and enjoying an empty airfield, saturday at the display, saturday evening in Cambridge following up the 242 Squadron tradition of having a curry, and then going to the Eagle to have a few drinks and pay our respects. Sunday I’ll be on the road to the south watching all the lovely hairyplanes come screaming in just above my head, lovely 😀

That’s my “holiday”. The rest of summer will be spent working for the met police.

Going nowhere this year, since I went to Dubai last year…
Probably the odd day trip to the countryside, theme parks etc.

We’re taking the kids to Fuerteventura in June for a week, and then hoping to get away on our own for a week in September. God knows we bloody need it. 🙁

I don’t have a holiday – too skint… I have a working one down at Weston-super-Mare with Helidays – been sunny most times and we have a laugh or two and a few beers and a few more…

Hardly fair on Croatia or Somerset! I’m not going anywhere – need to save the pennies.

Cyprus in July (Paphos) and possibly Marbella next month as my parents will be out there – tempted to turn up and surprise them and all their friends!

Three holidays for me this year 😀

In March I had a night in MAN airport hotel and then two days in Brussels.

In September I am having a night in BHX airport hotel and then 10 days in Brugge.

In November I am having a night in MAN airport hotel and then two days in Brussels.

All my flights with SN Brussels Airlines this year, just for a change 😀
