I’m reading this just now, about two-thirds of the way through, and while it’s not exceptionally well-written, it’s nevertheless a riveting read!
I had a quick look at the Internet Movie Database to see if a film version is in the works and, lo and behold, it is. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382625/)
While I’m looking forward to seeing how they pull it off, but I’m a little suspect of the casting. Good ol’ Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon – can’t see it, and it seems a lot of other people do, too. Jean Reno as Fache – absolutely! In fact, reading it, it’s his voice saying his words! Audrey Tatou (the girl from Amelie) playing Sophie Neveu – no way! I envisaged Sophie Marceau or Monica Bellucci (both hot, one of them French, the other fluent in French).
What do you lot think?
