Ryanair are also offering some very interesting destinations from Liverpool now, Granada and Limogues (that maybe spelt wrong !!) for example. My recent flights from Blackpool were very good from an on-time point of view, this is probably the thing im most bothered about.

Cheers

People might not agree with me hear but I would pick Ryanair from easyJet anyday.

Ryanair are much more punctual then easyJet, EZY have disappointed me on a number of occations. With regards customer service (Ryanair might be just as bad) and also cabin crew members handling passengers on-board in a unprofessional manner.

easyJet cabin crew also think its really funny to make various “jokes” during the safety demo, Ryanair take the demo seriously at least.

Just my point of view between FR and EZY! 😉

Some staff are unfreindly but every airline has some unfreindly staff

The mose un-friendly airlinr i’ve ever had is BA! 6 flights between 2000 and 2003, and 6 un-friendly occasions
Like some people here with RYR, i take a stance not to fly BA, but thats another matter

I still really like Jet2

And totally agree with you there Tom, had a nice flight down and back to LGW with them, they’ll go far, as we’ve seen 😀

Finally I think people are seeing sense. All I want people to understand is they over a cheap, punctual service between A and B. What more do you want??? Some staff are unfreindly but every airline has some unfreindly staff and they are probably just sick of people making totally dumb and untrue comments.

100% totally agree with you Elgan, I flew with Ryanair in January 2004, was ok but not totally brilliant, when I flew to DUB with them from MAN this Feb, I actually found all the staff I encountered extremely friendly, the cabins were clean, and of course the goods were expensive, but all airlines are. I cant wait for my next flight with them in July, they are not the Ritz, but for the price you pay, you cant beat what they do, and the punctuality of them is excellent.

Of course though, I still really like Jet2, but I like Ryanair as much.

RYR have grown on me certainly more since Feb!

Like many here, i said i’d never fly with them in my lifetime, didnt like their style etc, but one flight has totally changed my opinion about RYR. You get what you pay, low prices, low in-inflight service (and its not that bad actually :D), and for me, i know which i’d choose!

With RYR opening a base @ LPL, its opened more doors for me than ever before, as it takes much less to go to LPL than MAN, even with a train. And with EZY getting shockingly more expensive(yes!!!) from LPL, RYR offers me a better deal, and different destenations!

For £18 to ORK, you can’t go much wrong, infact it would cost me MORE to go by Train then Ferry to Dublin with Stena from Holyhead, than it does for me to go to Cork.

Everybody has an opinion, and were lucky that we can voice it people 😉

I may be a Ryanair fan but I perfer EI over them and EI offer much better aircraft now equipped with leather seats and Irish crew are generally some of the most relaxed in the world so I would rather have a relaxed laid back flight than some nationalities who like running up and down the aisle like headless chickens.

I’m also Anto-Ryanair and would not fly them again, whether they are 50% cheaper than a rival airline or not.

One flight with the airline taught me not to fly with them again. Even though only an hour’s flight, I was uncomfortable, service was terrible and the aircraft was disgustingly dirty.

Just picking a completely random example out here…

If EI were flying LPL-DUB with 1 daily rotation for £100, and Ryanair were flying the same route with the choice of 3-4 daily rotations for £20, which one would you pick?

(Bear in mind they both offer the same levels of service nowadays – nothing!).

I’m not moaning about it, I’m just saying that’s why I’d rather pay the extra.

That is, if there’s any change left over once you’ve got to the Airport when you set out, and finally get to wherever your intended destination actually was…

May I just say how much I like your avatar Bmused. Now if your going to pay the extar just not to fly Ryanair then I think you need your head examined. Go with the lower fare simple as that. Buy a few beers or a model or somthing out of the change. The product is basically the same what make Jet2 better espeically considering the price difference.

Treviso isn’t Venice and Liverpool isn’t Manchester! Other than that the routes are identical.

I’ve nothing against RYR, found their service very plesant back in Feb, when i went to DUB with them. About to give them that £18 to MOL now!

I have just returned from a return trip to Girona with Ryanair from Blackpool. Both outbound and inbound were on time, leg room better than a charter. Fare very cheap, flights were full, took my own sandwiches !

I have also flown JEt2 before Edinburgh to Manchester, flight was fine, couldnt say there was much difference to FR except JEt2’s flight was carrying a much lighter load that day.

I will fly FR if they are cheap enough. For example last year I paid £18 for STN return from PIK. I was fairly comfortable that MOL wouldn’t be making any money out of me at that price. 😉
My experience with EZY is just way above my flights with FR though.

You frequently find EZY cheaper than FR, but it can work the other way as well dont forget, I have had absolutely no probs with Ryanair, and will always use them.

People have good and bad experiences with all airlines, I love Jet2, you might not, just personal experience and opinions.

Save 50% when you fly when FR WANT you to.
I frequently find EZY cheaper than FR on many routes, despite their claims to be cheaper than EZY.
Load of marketing bollox.

And at least if I book with EZY or Jet2, I know my booking will remain so and not be changed to suite them. Unlike FR.
