Some good news for a change…

Hello guys and gals 🙂

I’m sure some of you think I’m just a cranky old bat who likes ranting, so I thought I’d share some good news with you for a change. Some of you may remember I applied for another job with the Film and Video Archive a couple of months back but did not get it? Well, last week I was offered a position one down from the job that I applied for 🙂 (Of course I accepted! :D) In terms of grade and pay, it’s a sideways move, but in terms of future career progression, a whole new world has opened up for me 🙂

This time last year I was feeling pretty low after a horrendous year…I am very happy to say that a year later, the future is looking a lot brighter…

So…seeing as I started a trend with my “rant” threads, how about we have a more positive thread for a change? Let’s hear about the good things for a change – has something gone well for you? Have you had some good news? Maybe a promotion? A nice holiday? Has something nice happened to you lately? Maybe you have children and they said something that made you smile?
