Your musical tastes – have they changed?

In a parallel vein from my previous thread, I wonder if, like myself your tastes have changed/mellowed over the years? I was brought up by my parents during my early years on The Bachelors 😮 😮 and then to C & W (eg Don Williams, Tammy Wynette & Biile JO Spears) 🙁 via Glenn Miiler in the guise of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra – is it any one wonder I look older than I am?? Personally I hate C & W now!!

My tastes have changed. As alluded to earlier in the other thread, in my teens I discovered Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Genesis et al and refused point blank to listen to anything on Radio 2. As I’ve grown older, my tastes have mellowed. Yes, I still love listening to Made in Japan by Deep Purple and Trick of the Tail by Genesis, but I am as likely now to listen to Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra, Tony Bennett and others from that era and also Vaughan Williams, Gershwin, Elgar and Holst. Bob Marley and reggae generally were complete anathema to me in the 70s, but now I appreciate that some of it is very good. And I am a devoted fan of Radio 2, but not sure whether I am yet old enough to qualify as a TOG! Any thoughts out there??
