Im off to New York in February, and have a question that is nagging me.
Can you smoke in public places there, and if not, where can you smoke??

I go to NYC ever other weekend and I can tell you that you can’t smoke a Fag in any Bars, Public places, Restraunts, Subway, Airports, The Ferrys.

NY has the second strictest Smokers laws here in the States Calf. has the most.

Were are you planning on going in NYC, I might be able to point you in some nice places if your interested. PM if you like

I was there last year and I had no trouble in having a smoke so long as there is not a sign clearly displayed (ie The USS Intrepid or most public buildings). I never had any trouble in any pubs.

NY state voted recently a law as strict as the CA one. Hell for the smokers now.

Apparently they point to a gap in the buildings and tell you that thats where the twin towers used to be… The Twin Towers was a flippin’ Hobbit book! The World Trade Centre is the missing phallic twins.

As long as it’s outside or I believe they still allow it in bars. But other than said bars- not inside anywhere.
