Evening all. So, I’ve got my new scanner plugged in and am ready to send my old airshow pics to the Flypast Forum.
Can anyone tell me how I should configure my scanner and therefore the image to get the optimum picture for threads? Stuff like, DPI, max recommended size in KB etc?
And how do I ensure that my posted photo is not the size of a house, like the sort we’ve all seen every now and then?
If you need to know, my scanner is a Canon 8000F model. Its got an e-mail button on the front which opens up a program – it’s through this program that I can change the DPI and the rest of the settings.
VMT in advance

Think there is a bit of a bit of growth built in – on my system if I go to 85k then they are generally too big.

Seafuryfan, top size limit is a bit closer to 100kb; I posted one of Haydn and the Lancaster up at 99kb this evening and it went okay. Good luck with the pics mate.

Hmm. Try setting the width to around the 400-600pixels and the dpi to around 72. Adjust so that the end result is below 84k – otherwise it will be too big for the forum.
Do this and find a size that you are happy with – and that everyone else isn’t complaining about!
