radio scanner recommendations?

Now that the insurance company have agreed values for the stuff nicked from my house I am on the lookout for a new scanner.

I had the Icom ic-r2, but what are the thoughts on the ic-r5 or maybe the yupiteru mvt3300, or other?

any suggestions?
