Hi,
My computer is ridden with Spyware and I want something (preferably free) or very very cheap to get rid of it.
I’ve tried Download.com and none of the completely free programs on there are ‘free’. They scan your computer for free but want $30 to remove it all.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Thanks

I run Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware 6 as spyware removers, also you should download CWShredder from: CWShredder
AVG 6.0 from Grisoft is great virus software, also get yourself a good firewall, Zonealarm is good and whats more all the above are free! 🙂

The browser you use can make a big difference also. I use Mozilla’s Firefox which is a free download, and I absolutley never have popups, and my ad-aware doesnt turn up hardly anything anymore.

I find adaware and spybot together well worth having.
That’s the combination I use, as well.

adaware and spybot are very good , pestpatrol is shareware and find even more in my opinion . a good virus scanner can help also , use anything but norton , its the biggest joke , in the hacker community kaspersky is used alot and i am very satisfied with it

I have ad-aware, tends to work very well. But I have some b@stard of a spyware program, which appears to be deleted each time and then re-appears every time I reboot my pc.
