YOU’RE WRONG!:D

But actually right – sorry, couldn’t resist that.
Yep – the first ironclad warship which made every other warship outdated over night and started another arms race.
Outdated by the Dreadnaughts, eventually, but never actually in battle (I believe).

Did you see the mast of the worlds tallest yacht in the dockyard, or the Millennium Tower (which might be finished and paid for in time for the next one…;))?

Woundsigner, Flood, thanks! 🙂 Appreciate it.

Flood, on the drive down, when i got to the Devil’s Punchbowl area, the fog/mist set in for a while, weather got pretty bad – Low visability etc.

Later on in the afternoon down at the old docks, as you can see it brightened up a considerable amount, then once again became quite overcast.

Woundsiger, thanks for the link. 🙂

Cheers Again

You had better weather than I’d have thought – it was either very dull and overcast or foggy for most of the day just a few miles in land…
But the flypast didn’t take place, just the same…

The first two are of HMS Victory (oldest ship in the Royal Navy – despite government cuts!), whilst the last is HMS Warrior (1860, I think), and not commisioned in the navy. Both are museums.
