Fireworks event anyone up for it ?

Hi

If anyone on here is interested we could get a few people from these forums and all met up for a fireworks event.

I would supply the fireworks and venue and anyone is welcome to bring their own fireworks to the event.

After the fireworks we can have a nice BBQ a few drinks and just chill out.

If anyone wants to take part let me know and I will arrange something.

Right getting back to the fireworks for a second

No, I don’t want to attend an event where you would be annoying a large percentage of the local population while you go oooh and aaah while something inordinately expensive and wholly pointless goes bang

Thats why I am going to hold the event in the countryside where their are only crops no animal farms.

I have the use of a large grass only field for the event itself.

It might be expensive and pointless to you but I and plenty of other people enjoy them and lets face it its my money I am entitled to spend it how I wish.

Their will be no anti social behavior at this event it will be fully organized with 2 or 3 people lighting the fireworks using full PPE and taking the full safety precautions.

Thanks to the 6 people who have contacted me by p/m and e-mail to say they would like to come I will keep you all posted as to the arrangements and their are still places for anyone else.

I’d come, but live too far away. I can’t see why you’re being slagged here. Personally I find fireworks wasteful, and don’t go and watch them in town (I will when my daughter is older) but the idea of beer and BBQ is a friendly offer. Lighten up chaps.

The person called Steer is nothing to do with me we have the same second name but this person is running a “ban fireworks” project.

Does make things confusing however.

Anyway I have lernt my lesson and will make sure I don’t make silly remarks here or on other sites in future.

I hope he does then he will find out I have done nothing wrong.

The Inland Revenue and police etc will find nothing wrong cause I have done nothing.

If everyone was guilty just on the silly comments people make then everyone who says “I’m gonna kill someone” etc will have to be nicked and sent to jail.

And for your info I have no money hidden or anything form the Inland Revenue.

If he told you how he knew, you would be as clever as him and that’s just not going to happen is it?

Strikes me as fairly ironic considering the post about “anti-social behaviour” less than a week back.

Seems only polite for one of us to reply. No, I don’t want to attend an event where you would be annoying a large percentage of the local population while you go oooh and aaah while something inordinately expensive and wholly pointless goes bang. (Leave plenty of scope there for the local wits…)

Don’t you find it a bit sad rating your own thread even before anyone replies?
