Geneva – Help!

Hi all,

just wondering if anybody on here was swiss or had visited Geneva?

I am planning a day trip there in April and wondered ifg anybody could tell me how long it would take to get from the town to the top of the Saleve? I understand it is actually in france, but would like to do the cable car visit up it.

I am also planning on doing the city tour by coach which works out at about £15 for an adult, and visiting the automobile museum. I would have around 9 hours to spare in the city so i want to work out a full programme beforehand, and this would be my first city trip alone, usually there is about 4 of us, but my mates on this date can’t get the time off uni and/or work which is a shame.

Any help would be much appreciated!
