Thanks all, it is smoke like the Extra’s i’m after. I just wondered where it was in the Aircraft CFG and whether it could just be copied and pasted.

Had a look at http://www.simviation.com/ and found these for FS2002 –

Replacement smoke system for any plane. It adds a very long blue trail. Adam Holman. 2K

Not just another smoke download: this has dynamic vortex effects and propwash vectoring; six colors; three positions; multiple “Y-offset” values for easier correction of coordinates..easy install. Total of 78 smoke fx files (2KB each), Uses the “I” key. By Jan Rosenberg, aka “JR” and “I. Candymaker”. 475K

Includes install files and readme docs. By Saad Ahmad. 100K

Hope this helps!

The contrails appear above 30,000ft. As for making planes ‘smoke’ like on the Extra 300, I suppose that takes some programme file editing.

Do you mean contrails ? I usually find they kick in at the appropriate altitude, you’ll need to go into the settings menu and make sure they are switched on though.
