Me and my mate Huw went to catch the new evening service of the SQ A380.
Very pleased with the results this time round. For the first time in at least 6 months, the weather was what I would actually call “good” and not the complete opposite the forecast.
We started off in the sports field, getting the classic side-on shots.

Then the first interesting arrival of the day turned up, a special scheme TAM A332. Covered in the signatures of TAM Employees.
Followed shortly by another, the PrivatAir 767.
Then we moved underneath the approach lights, and on our way through Myrtle caught this beauty!
And this, unusual for KLM to use these Fokkers to LHR.

Then te light began to move around, and we struggled to settle on a definite place to catch the 380. Eventually we settled for the footbridge by the station, which was not ideal.

Eventually we got what we wanted, 15 minutes early with a headwind.

Cheers,
Comments, tips and criticism welcome.

Interesting shots 😉 You got a rare one there with the TAM, not like you can call it a weekly visitor in that scheme.

Yes Matt, it was the afternoon (more like evening though 19:10) flight and the touchdown shot was taken from the footbridge.
Thanks for the kind words!

I’m guessing that is the afternoon A380 flight? And was the touchdown shot taken from the footbridge at Hatton Cross? I have never had much luck from that spot.
Weatherwise I’ve had everything from 30 degrees and burning sunshine to 0 degrees and snow in my last few visits to LHR. Might go at the weekend perhaps.
