Vietnam

Japan

Iraq

Remember you have the choice to see such pictures but for some people that is not an option, despite everything that is going on in the world present, past and future I hope there can be peace.

Of course, I forgot the secret squadron at WPAFB 😀 You know, the one disguised as a Museum… Those Americans are really evil… Mayve we should start a thread about pics ov evil capitalist plane pictures 😀
Think outside the box a little. Go and find out what exactly happened to the four -A models when their test program was done.

Instead of posting photos of Hiroshima – why don’t you show some photos of the brutality of the Japanese death camps? And before anyone starts whining on about the Japanese “only” capturing soldiers, women and children were also imprisoned in these places and they were also badly treated by the Japanese. History and political correctness makes it convenient to forget all this and only ever to describe the Nazi regime as evil (which it was) but it was not the only evil regime in WW2 and we would do well to remember that.
How many of the Japanese were ever tried and convicted on war crimes charges?

Oh yeah, Happy Valley, I remember that. Great place for C-141s to park when they break down.
Is anyone going to re-educate that idiot User above on history? re: about two of the photos he used completely out of context ( and I don’t mean the B2 one either) . No? I don’t think it is worth the effort either. I’ll pass. Not in the mood to give out free history lessons to idiots.

Gee, another thread based on the assertion that the US is the font of all political evil in the world. How stimulating!

Hmmm, it seems you cannot hold a discussion here without being called retarded.
Wonder how many retarded people know that their condition consists of a pathological hatred of bullies?
By: Flood - 14th January 2004 at 19:37
Lovely. A real discussion.
Some remarkable photos taken by some real war photographers; the men who put themselves on the front line to show what was really happening, not what the government of the day really wanted the world to see.
But there is a problem; Nguyen Ngoc Loan was the South Vietnamese National Police Chief who shot a suspected Viet Cong officer – neither of them were Americans, although the video tape and photographs help turn US public opinion against the war.
It almost certainly would have taken place whether or not the Americans were present – all other things being equal. So why?
The B2 pic smacks of pure company-supplied publicity stunt; a ‘this is what it can do’ image. So what.
The atom bomb pix – once they would have been shocking visions but they have long ago been overtaken by other more horrifying images; it is only the knowledge that thousands were at that moment dying that keeps it in mind. Is this, again, a ‘we can do this’ sort of threat?
You say that we have the option to view such images; er, yes we do. But again, so what? Others don’t – is that what America is fighting for? The chance for the repressed of the world to view photos of the Vietnam War?
There might be peace – of a sort – but the dying will still carry on.
Why not post pictures of forests scarred by acid rain, smog clouds, dust bowls, factory chimneys, life-less rivers and polluted seas, huge mercury lakes, stunted growth vegetation, deformed animals, people suffering from permanent respiratory problems, people suffering from malnutrition, disease, and all the other things that happen so often in the name or cause of big business and democracy…
Why not post pictures of inefficient, ineffective or just bloody useless politicians? After all, is war not the last resort of failed politics?
Why not post pictures of fluffy bunny rabbits, cute kittens, etc – and lead everyone to a false conclusion? You will still get the hate-mail, it will just be along the lines of “You’re a loony” and not “You’re a mentally subnormal loony”.
Love and peace, man.
Flood.

Apart of trying to start a new flame war and seeding some hate again… Could you please try to get correct facts ?
1) A B-2 is a far too valuable and high tech asset to be used in carpet bombing. Those are used with PGMs and hit well defined targets
2) I *HIGHLY* doubt you would find a B-1A in the US inventory… If you are not aware of it, the B-1A programme got canned. And the B1 only saw operational life under its far less capable B-1B form…

User, ever member who contributes to this forum is well aware of Americas sense of democracy and justice, u don’t need to remind us by posting pic’s.
I am not sure why u think u are the only one who is aware of Americas actions, we all have T.V.s and access to the internet and we all can read.
To say I hate the U.S. government is an understatement, but what can we do about it? 🙁
By: Arthur - 14th January 2004 at 15:01
Then why suggest i should?
By: user - 14th January 2004 at 14:51
Arthur have you been snorting blocks ?
I dont have to be on the recieving end of dumb bombs/Daisy cutters to know about principles and morality in general you do, see the difference ?
By: Arthur - 14th January 2004 at 14:49
Then put me on that recieving end, just like you were obviously. Severe mental damage.
By: user - 14th January 2004 at 14:47
Ok arthur why dont you sit on the reieving end of an American bombing raid, i think then you might change your mind about Principles
By: Arthur - 14th January 2004 at 14:39
The principle might be the same, the picture is principally wrong.
