Air Freighters

Did anyone see the programme ‘Massive Machines’ on Channel Five last night ?
Pity about the presentation. A potentially interesting and informative programme completely ruined by the inane ramblings of the juvenile presenter. Even if C5 didn’t make the programme, they should at least credit the viewers with some intelligence and not buy such rubbish. To think that Chris Barrie got paid for that drivel is beyond belief. 😡

Saw that before. Flight was from very north america wasnt it??

Also Chris Barrie (who went to my school….) has been known to do a fre vidoes or series for tax purposes….

Yes from the USA to Japan on a Fed Ex. MD-11 freighter. Very considerate gentle climb out so as not to upset the horses. 😀

The programme also featured Fed Ex’s Atlanta hub in operation and some stuff on Northwest Cargo’s op’s into the Far East. 😎

There was the often repeated episode of ‘Extreme Engineering’ (I think that’s the name?) on Discovery Wings last night, which was all about the freighter business.

Good stuff about transporting race horses in special air stables across the world for breeding programmes.

I saw it.

It was a family type show and his ramblings reflected that.
I personaly had no problem with it, he did convey the important information about the aircraft which is what counts.
