In the afternoon, we took a trip up to the top of the Rock, a few of the airport…
This was sitting all alone on the tarmac.
Control Tower.
End of the Runway.
Road running through the middle of the runway.
Overview.
Pics from the flight home…
Touching down in Gibraltar (A little on the heat Hazy side I know)

The sun went in sadly at the most annoying times!

Just as we were ready to leave, this arrived from Luton an Hour late.

Heading back to Gatwick.
Blue skies over southern Spain

Being followed (sorry for the quality on this – not an easy task as ive never tried before! – it was a little to far away perhaps?) It was heading Northeast.
Back in the UK.
An thats that! – Hope you all enjoyed!

Hey Andrew, can’t see any of the photo’s. Am i doing something wrong. All i can see in the post is square photobucket icon’s with “This image has been moved or deleted”.
I’d love to have a look at them. I was there just over a year ago and would love bring back some memories!
Cheers!

Very nice shots. That Citation Excel is operated by European Business Jets on behalf of a private owner.

That one of the trail following you: It’s never easy to shoot through these perspex passenger windows, but your enlargement is enough to make it out as a Norwegian Air Shuttle.
Yup it was indeed – after a quick search to, it turned up as being LN-NOB – one of only two 737-800(w) in the fleet – the other being in a special livery.
Thanks to you all for the comments – much appreciated 🙂

Hey A330
These are some of the best shots I have seen from Gibraltar. I was there in 1977 on expedition with the RAF for 3 weeks – your photos have brought back some great memories. I flew civvie on a BA Trident – at the time it was one of the biggest airliners to land there. Having to keep out of Spanish airspace made for one of the best approaches I have ever had. Banking so steep you could look down the funnels of the ships. The landing I think you will know having probably experienced it. You don’t get another chance with the water at both ends.
Stunnig shots
Cheers
