Champions' League Traffic (MAN 29/04/08)

As some of you will already be aware, yesterday Manchester United beat off everything that Barcelona could throw at them to reach the 2007-2008 Champions’ League Final. Which is nice. 🙂

Here are some of the movements generated by the match:

And finally:

Captain Arbuthnot was utterly determined to prove his theory about the rough-field performance of the Boeing 747-400 before he retired……

Enjoy….. 😀

Actually, the Galaxy EC-JQE did land well before the displaced threshold! I must have been standing very close to you. Were you with Dennis?

I was indeed. 🙂

My shot of the Galaxy was taken from back near the parked cars rather than from the same spot as the Dragonair B747.

My vantage point was actually slightly below the level of the runway, which produced an optical illusion rendering the runway to all intents and purposes invisible. 🙂

That makes the picture even better! Great work as always.

What has the story behind the DragonAir Cargo Lance?

Adam

Weelllllll……………….

There’s no great mystery. It really was landing in a field. :diablo:

But seriously, folks, it’s over the runway and just flaring prior to touching down.

My vantage point was actually slightly below the level of the runway, which produced an optical illusion rendering the runway to all intents and purposes invisible. 🙂

Great photos – that Gadair B757 is particularly smart!

Looking forward to a day at MAN on the 14th.
