So which was the airline in Airport 75 which is the one Dantheman asked about. George Kennedy was chief ground engineer Joe Patroni. By Airport 79 wasn’t he the Captain flying the Concorde aircraft?

George Kennedy was indeed the captain of the Concorde in Airport 79. He then graduated to a Catholic priest in Delta Force which was quasi-based on the TWA hijacking in ’85 from Athens. A few years later, there was a more accurate film made about the same hijacking where Lindsay Wagner, aka The Bionic Woman, played the heroic flight attendant.

LOL, alrighty then, I stand corrected. Did said concorde survive dogfights with fighter jets in real life, as well?.

Concorde did, but it has been kept silent so as not to give terrorists an idea. The Russian Tu-144 “Concordski” did not survive his encounter with a mirage at Le Bourget though.

I just did some in-depth research, and F-BTSC, the Concorde in the film, did indeed crash. So there’s proof for you.

I was waiting for this one Sandy! Airport 75 with Charleton Heston. Did they have the red stripe on there though? I thought it was the basic AA livery, with a blue stripe on the bottom as well. I could be wrong.
