A personal request could we all stop posting on this thread and leave it as an epitaph to Steve.
Thanks Anna

Nice to bring up this thread again. It’s good to see, eventhough he died way too young, he was able to make something fun of his life. It may not be comforting at this particular moment, but for the relatives eventually it’ll help knowing his life was most certainly a succes.

Anyway, my final answer would be the same as two years ago. However, I would not like to know when I’m going.

Well I am going to make peace with those that I may have hurt in one way or another, pray to God for forgiveness. Fly to Mecca, pray there.

Finally I would take a trip back to Morocco where I could die in the house in which I was born…………as weird as it sounds I can find total inner peace there. Its a very devine feeling almost as if you are going to float away to another higher place. Well thats what I think of it. Weird me. 😀

I’d fly a bit, hook up with a girl, spend some time with the family and wander in the mountains.

First of all, i’d shoot the Mrs so that i’d have a week of peace, then i’d lock myself in my wine cellar and try to drink as much of the Expensive stuff as possible so that my free loading Son-in-laws wouldn’t get their hands on it

I have restored this thread to give people the opportunity to view one of Steve Youngs many contributions to the forum. I hope it will continue in a dignified manner it deserves

Pay the bloody cheques in that I always forget I have in my pocket (cheques equal 3 weeks on average). That gives me 4 days to get pissed – unless my week starts on a weekend. Would definately take the week off work.

What’d I do really? parachute jump, warbird flight and dive with great whites are the only three things I really don’t wan’t to miss out on, have done every other daft act I fancied. Take my daughter to Disneyworld (no desire to go myself, but for her) take my wife to Adlards restaurant in Norwich. Actually, the whole family. I’d make the visits i’d need to, and drag my family and friends around with me (the last boredom i’d subject them to) and finish up with a massive great party, the whole hog. Tempted to try some coke to see if it’s worth the hype – hardly gonna kill me then, is it?!

Basically, eat well, treat my friends and family, spend as much time as possible with them, having fun, and die on my feet, smiling.

Well if I had one last week to live i probably get drunk in the nearest bar, after which I’ll accidently or on purpuse, get hit by a train/car/747 😀

Anna.

A strange question but one which affects all of us. We are all going to reach that point somewhere in our lives. But there are two problems. For many of us we will reach that dreaded week but never imagine it’s to be our last. Some of us will die suddenly after a heart attack or stroke, or die in accidents. Others of us will have long illnesses and be only too aware we are into our last week of life, but be too ill to do anything at all about it.

So, if I knew it was to be my last week what would I do? I find it difficult to know. Other than spending time with those I love. Try and come to terms with the life I have lived, reconcile myself with the mistakes I have made and maybe revisit the things I have done well. I can’t think of anything else other than saying thank you and goodbye to those who have helped and influenced me. And to go quietly, without a struggle, to whatever lies beyond the curtain.

Regards,

I’d give up my job, go flying again for the last time, hit the ski slope again for the last time, give my son a huge hug and tell him that I love him, make sure my will is made out and that Haydn gets everything, and after that anything else would be a bonus. Would I be scared? No. We all get a finite time here, and I’d like to think I’ve lived as full a life as I could so far. No regrets at all. 🙂
