The A380 finally made it’s LHR passenger debut today, but sadly in typically gloomy weather. Not the best pics as a result but a piece of history anyway.

Yes, seems we have been waiting forever. Nice to see a new mark of aircraft at LHR to add to the variety. I love your avatar Ren. That BA bag reminds me of my first flight. I went LHR to San Francisco on a BA 747 back in the mid 70’s with my Mum when I was about 8. I vividly remember that my she had one of those bags on the flight as they were designed to fit under the seats of a 747. Great memories:)
You can still get that bag at http://www.highlifeshop.com/p-88-british-airways-classic-70s-cabin-bag.aspx

Nicely caught mate! – Many people were caught out today what with all the landing being on 27R and then out of no-where she turns up on 27L.
Shame the weather couldn’t have been that little bit better eh?

A day in commercial aviation history for sure, even if I do now feel slightly underwhelmed by any hype surrounding the A380. I think the fact it’s been airborne now for three years may have something to do with it…
