Try ED models on the Stratford road round the corner from the MEB building. Alternatively if you come off the Coventry Road by the big overhead lights at Sheldon (make the turn for Olton not Sheldon) drive up to the island go striaght across until you see a load of shops (its round the back of the Land Rover works) there is another model shop there. There is one in Rubery and another in Stetchford. If you don’t mind travelling through Wales for a couple of hours go to Aberystwyth there are a couple of fantastic model shops there also, up the road opposite the pier.

Thanks Phil, nice to know there’s another Birmingham chappy onboard. I’ll give ur advice a try and see how it goes. 🙂

One other question, do u know any good model stores in B’ham? I’m stumped, can’t find a single one with much variety. Thanks again.

Alex. Just so you know I am from Birmingham and I regularly go to Hay-on-Wye for this kind of material. Ian Alan by the recruiting office in town is also a good source for this kind of material if you haven’t already tried it but if you give yourself a day or two in Hay-on-Wye (book in at a B&B its a really nice place to stay) I guarantee a) you still won’t have time to look at all the 2nd hand book shops but b) and more impotantly you will find what you are looking for.
