Steve Hislop RIP

Just on the news tonight that Steve Hislop – Multiple TT winner and track record holder , and recently of the Monster Mob Ducati BSB Team has been killed in a helicopter crash near his house in Hawick , he was the only occupant . Ironically on Men and Motors tonight he was featured ith Keith Huewen , Dave Jeffries , and Neil Hodgson . As you will probably know Dave was killed in practice at this years TT Races .
Two good blokes who will be sadly missed by all motorcycle enthusiasts . RIP Lads.

Did anybody happen to notice the press coverage of Hizzy’s funeral , a true measure of the man’s popularity , hundreds of bikers turned up to pay respects and were allowed by the Police to use the full width of the road to follow the Cortege to Southdean Cemetary – and turned a blind eye to the helmetless bikers . Hizzy’s 1992 Isle of Man Norton Rotary will be on pole position at the start of the first round of the next BSB Championship for a 1 minute silence .
RIP Hizzy

A crying shame , last year was supposed to be his final year to make some serious cash , ironically after one of the greatest achievements ( the BSB Crown ) he was supposed to retire – but is taken from us by a helicopter accident . RIP Hizzy , Joey “yer maun”Dunlop , Dave Jeffries – all sad losses to the race scene .
