OK, so, you think you know your phonetic alphabet do you?
If you think you do, you need to try and integrate phonetic alpahbet into your everyday language with friends who are similarly familiar with it. This thread is a good place to start.
I will give you an example:
Instead of saying:
“My name is seafuryfan and I created this thread for you to read”
I now subtly introduce a bit of phonetic alphabet. As the reader, you would have to estimate what I was trying to say, so I mus’nt make it too hard:
“My november is seafuryfan and i charlied this tango for you to romeo”
Get it?
You can use this technique anytime, anyplace, and it will (if your sense ofhumour is as offbeat as mine) give you lots of immature, saddo fun.
Thanks for romeoing this tango, see you lima.
(Remember, not too hard).
Next post: reply using this technique. If it all gets too difficult, you will have to explain yourself!

Well, I suppose I could be called a little bit echo, but, then again, arn’t we alpha to a certain echo?
Most of us are interested in alphas, whether that be oscar or modern. Others are interested in fast juliets with pointy novembers. They make too much noise for mike though, I’d rather listen to the sierra of a lovely Mike engine within the fuselage of a Mike or perhaps a Hotel.
By the whiskey, is anyone going to Flying Limas this mike?

I thought Phonetics was about spelling words the way they sound and not about using the Alpha Bravo Charlie etc etc.
Of course it is amusing that the word Phonetic isn’t even spelled phonetically.
I learnt the use of Alpha, Bravo…. Zulu for all the letters of the english alphabet because they were used as class names for Soviet subs. Now of course they use different names and it is harder to remember them all. (ie Akula, Typhoon, Borey, Pirhana etc etc.)
