What kind of holidays do you like the most? I know some folk who love to go on walking holidays and take their dogs, folk who lounge on a beach and stuff like that.
I like to be in a place where there is alot to do – museums, parks and good public transport because I don’t drive. I like Paris for its beautiful buildings (the Opera is my favourite) and good shops and restaurants. London because it has everything I like including some good airports for spotting. I like eating out but hate nightclubs. In Dublin I like to go to a lively pub and have some Guinness, whereas in Belgium the beers I drink are impossible to find anywhere else so i go to a quiet pub and spend an hour really savouring my favourite brew. Belgium has great transport compared to where I live and so I go all over by train, the best rides are Kortrijk to Oudenaarde and Verviers to Spa, if you get chance try them. I don’t like hot places too much.

Anywhere off the beaten track. I am one of those pretentious gits who hates “tourists”.
This year it’s been Zambia for my main holiday, with city breaks in Dublin, London, Milan, Rome and Reykjavik.
