Okay, some of u were interested in the Giant Squid thread. However, scientists have proof that this creature exists today. Here is a more “it’s dead” / “Ohh no it isn’t” thread about a real killer in our seas…MEGALODON…Jaws’s big brother.

Here is a link which contains a debatable story about a recent turn of the 20th Century encounter with what some scientists believe may be a surviving Megalodon.
This shark really does make the Great White look like a shrimp – between 65-70ft in length. Only problem is it’s meant to be extinct.
However, recent developments have cast doubt. Some divers have recovered Meg-teeth only 10,000 years old (as opposed to the million odd years it was meant to have gone the way of the dodo).

After reading the story of the encounter, no way am I gonna call “Here fishy fishy” next time I sail on anything smaller than an aircraft carrier
