I know there was a similar post a few months ago, but as they change all the time I just wanted to get some views on phones and which of these I should go for, what battery times are like etc. They are:
1. Motorola T720i
2. Nokia 7650
3. Sony Ericsson T68i
4. Panasonic GD-87
5. Sharp GX-10

I can buy one, but I still wait, as i charge it everyday in the car… It is gut getting tight during the weekends.

Thanks for all the help, got the Panasonic GD-87, just ordered it online, found it dead cheap from www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk and it only cost me £50.00 and the insurance is also free for the first 3 months as well, and its tri-band, and it has a camrea which can zoom in and out unlike other camera phones. Thanks for all the help once again.

Can you not buy a new battery for it? I found it quite easy to get a battery for mine.

Same problem for me, I have an old 5110, and it makes all I need: it permits me to phone, and send/recieve some SMS.. It even has a calculator that can be useful sometimes…
But the battery is now almost dead, because I put it always in a car-kit… And the cover is full of scratches, maybe I should repaint it? Black or dark gray is good for me, so…
And if I ever changed the phone, I’d be condemned to buy an expensive 6310, just because Nokia decided to change all their connectors. And when you have a car-kit, well…

I’ve got a 3310 and have yet to see any reason why i need to get any of these newer phones.
All i need is a phone and text messaging… WAP is c**p IMO and none of the other features appeal either. The only thing that might get me to upgrade is battery quality and better reception. This is because the nokia batteries for 3310’s only seem to last a year before they die (i’ve replaced it once already) and the reception in my house is dire so i frequently have to go out into the garden 🙁

Here a couple of Nokia killers for you!
The older Z5 on the left is hard to find, and is becoming almost a collectors item.
The Z7 is a modified version of the Z5.
Nothing exiting technologically speaking, but they are …..different!

Anything from Nokia is good IMO. I had a choice too a little while ago and went with the new Nokia 3315.
