i truely belive most want to work – but we stop them from legally working – hence IMHO they end up as ganstas, etc

daily telegraph – i get that paper in our libarey at college and it really does live up to its nick name the “daily toryghraph” – good foreign coverage though and it is toatlly free to slag te government off which i love }>

think about it !!! by the time teir no longer yobs you want ehm in military srvice -i assume your saying service at 18 – well thats two years in work and the clever bods are doing A levels / in uni

Alastair – i think its not for us to sit in our homes with illegal weapons (i type corrected it was so long ago i can’t remember the type of shotgun other than it was illegla and he had been striped of his lsicene long ago) and pick off any burgelers. for petesake only the police can use guns when specailly trained and then they have to prove the other guy was armed. these burglers in both cases werne’t armed. so they hit you / knock you then you use “reasonable force” in “self defence” to stop them but don’t do premditated murder

pikeys – for the reason they camp on motorbike land i particulary hate them. therre is no reason why they should be nomadic and travel. im severally tempted to propse a pikey bill to an mp and make them be settleed forcalbe like everyone else. due to soem winging hippie / commie they have the power to sit on land freely, igonre loads of alws, and have priority on all waiting lists. by no menas anyone get em wrong pikeys should be made to settle and their travelling stopped!

Rabie , I’m not trying to be a smart-arse but Mr Martin actually used an old FN Browning side by side , twin hammer 12 gauge , and he had been burgled before and the poice did nothing , the two Pikeys were known burglars and Mr Martin did by the surviving Pikeys own admission shout a warning before firing the gun. I think anybody alone in their own home , being burgled in the middle of the night would use any means possible to avoid being attacked .
I speak through experience , my father has two old Aunts who live in a nice small cottage in an old orchard , one night 4 burglars broke in through the kitchen window , kicked the dog in the head (died 2 weeks later) , the younger aunt (86 yrs old) walked through the hallway (going to the kitchen to make a cup of tea) , through the dining room and walked straight into the burglars arms , they had a big sheet and had piled all the brass and silver ware into it ready to take away , she was punched to the ground , rolled up in a big fireside rug and jumped on , the elder aunt (88 yrs old) heard the commotion and walked through , she was punched in the face , right over the dining room table , the burglars had cut the phone line , after the burglars left the younger aunt had to walk on to a main road to flag down a passing car.
The police were on the scene very quickly and did their best but burglars were well gone , my aunts handbag was found near a travelling peoples camp ( minus £400 and her engagement ring ), the police did actually find out who was behind the burglary and even told us their names but they were Pikeys and we were told they were probably already in Ireland , the local council have been superb , fitting panic buttons in every room – mobile phone technology – no phone lines – sorry if this has turned into a bit of a rant , I believe that people should have the right to defend their own homes .
STOP asylum seekers coming in , screen the ones who are already here , some are KNOWN terrorists and murderers , stop mollycodling the Pikeys – no more specially built sites – move them ( by force if need be) from private land when they set up camp , make them declare their sources of income and make them pay tax – if not confiscate their vans.
Charity begins at home , lets take care of our own citizens before even considering helping others.

New Labour = Old Tory , STOP handouts to asylum seekers , STOP housing them , once they realise we’re not the charity box of Europe they will stop coming. Pay more respect to the old age pensioners who live in poverty and in rundown “private” nursing homes , give them a decent pension and free housing , these people have seen Britain through war and peace , they have paid their dues , give them their reward .

Have you seen the news ,the Italian police have arrested a number of morrocans (Asylum seekers) that were in posession of maps of London and a fair quantity of explosives plus addresses of contacts in England. But don’t worry once Kens conjestion charges kick in that will do more damage.

He was dead. That isn’t quite scotfree. ‘Flipping’ Pikey. Should have got the George Cross, old Mr Martin – damn good show, and he won’t get released early, because he hasn’t, and won’t say sorry. That, my friends, is admirable. I was in uniform during the last Gulf war, and was gagging for a go – ended to quick though. This isn’t about going to war, or to a combat zone – we do that quite readily (on occasion anywhere up to 3 years before the yanks. Of course, that was 60 years ago. Would never happen in this day and age, would it? Kosovo, for example.) – but this is not our war, and its not a ‘just’ war. I would rather invade America than Iraq personally. I know who I fear to be the great threat to world peace. And I certainly wouldn’t want to wear a British uniform in the presence of American airpower. (Unlees I was fighting against them – that should be safe enough). Ah, America. For Truth, Freedom, and the American Way. For Apple Pie and Dollar signs. For Waving the big stick and ramming burgers down the third worlds throats.

We are too nice here in England (at least the stupid hippys that have made policy over the last 30 years were) so we just turn around and let everybody screw us as they wish. We do arm the police – have you not heard of truncheons? Ha, we have armed teams anyway (SO19) but, like in Northern Ireland, its bad news if you shoot someone – you can go inside for a long time (but you won’t meet any burglars there at least, we aren’t going to lock them up anymore). I reckon that really we should send all the spongers back to their own countries – if they have a problem with their government, i’m sure the CIA will give them money and arms for a coup / uptrising / rebellion. It will give them the chance of training a fresh generation of troops in action against a hostile nation in years to come.

Inconsistency is the part which annoys me personally.

If our hypothetical “immigrant” was from a Western country – shall we say, an American or an Australian – the authorities go hell for leather to make life difficult for them. To generalise (sorry for that) a lot of these people are productive and responsible individuals who in many cases are of a a higher calibre then “home grown” talent. My own employer has a habit of recruiting the brightest and best, irrespective of where they’re from.

So…if you’re educated, civilised and would help out the UK…GO AWAY. If on the other hand, you can’t speak English and have no degree…WELCOME.

Reverse the situation and Brits are in the same boat when they try to emigrate to America or Australia.

Also bring back national service…a good way of cutting down on your absurdely high crime rate! ! !, the streets are full of yobo’s who are steadily steadily giving britain a reputation of being a soft touch. Why dont your coppers carry guns????? what is precluding them from being armed for self defence or detterance?, i dont get it, you go around acting as a superpower on the international stage, but within you are no better than a fledgling country finding its feet!:P

Moving on to a point about the War On Terror Ask any soldier in the UK forces whether if he had a choice to stay home or go and fight thousands of miles away in a conflict that doesn’t concern him or his country then i would say 9/10 he would choose to stay home. Ask an american G.I. joe and he would be chomping at the bit!! the UK is being dragged into a conflict which i believe does not at heart matter much to them, Tony blairs attempts to “sell” a war to the british public is unique, you don’t see this aggressive behaviour in Britains backyard , EU!!!! Schroeder and Chirac have not mobolised soldiers or navy to travel to the gulf, they talk of peace through diplomatic circles not confrontational.

i just wish that Britain chose its path…continue to open doors for USA or look after its backyard i.e EU!!

Back to main point about Asylam seekers, if they are genuine and they are migrating to Britain from their war torn country, then they can enter, like they can enter anywhere in europe, but when they start taking the piss by signing on and working on the side and sponging off the goverment then that’s when they become a strain on the economy and time for Britain to say “Last orders please ladies & gentleman”!! }> you guys should toughen up before your streets resemble somethin out of Soweto!!

Heres another one for you figure this one out… Did you read in the paper about the lady of 80 who was told by her doctor that he could no longer have her on his books because he had been told to take on more bl**dy asylum seekers!!
When you think about it, its only right they do this as the doctor needs to be on call for these asylum seekers in case the have a mishap making their ricin gas!
Wouldn’t want some old granny who probably went through all the hardships of war to help defend this nation to get in the way now would we?!!

The fire-fighters earn a shitload more than I do, and get more time off. No sympathy. And they DONT run into burning buildings, and they DONT have a dangerous job.

The army should be given the fire engines that I paid for, that YOU paid for, that the PUBLIC TAXPAYER paid for, and should be billeted in the fire stations. The engines are ours – not fireman bloody sams.

And, furthermore, 007 can come, rest assured that he would be shot on site, not xcaptured, laughed at, and left to escape and beat me up. And if they send the A team, same thing – they will NOT be put in a shed full of things that can be turned into a tank and cannon.

Why do I get the feeling that 007 is coming round your house right now to assasinate you after the comments about Blair.

Apparently after they released the statement there was another right after it that they were already rethinking that strategy of buying the hotel for asylum seekers. This was on a BBC news program.

Also I dont wish to take over someones thread here but who hates whats going on with the Firefighters / Military. All I seem to hear is Firefighters taking the mickey out of the military because they have to use 50 + year old green goddesses. Wont it be a laugh when the Firefighters all get paid off and the military gets trained up on the new engines to take over permanent.

While I think the firefighters do a good job look at what a soldier gets paid to do much more than a firefighter. They have to be a firefighter, a security guard, a student, a marksmen, a housekeeper, a driver, a teacher, a cook and a cleaner all in one but they dont get paid nearly what the firefighters want. Also the soldiers even buy their own kit now (or so I have heard recently. Now what kind of a world do we live in. Firefighters should do their job just as those in the military do their job. Because they want to do it.

The thing the bothers me is not immigration (we are all immigrants) but the total lack of control and the total lack of `balls` of the government.

I believe anyone should be allowed in to this in this country but they must undergo vetting. Certain critera must be fullfilled to allow them to stay, if they forfeit these conditions they are deported “without trial” back to whence they come. But what happens now is they cross the border, claim “political asylum” and are then given free reign to dissapear into the system.

We have become a dumping ground for the europe scum which are thrown from their own countries and end up here, this also camoflages the terrorists who can secrete themselves into our society.

If I applied to live in the USA I believe it would be far more difficult than an Islamic terrorist would find comming to the UK.

p.s. as to Blair being similar to Cromwell, goody, we beheaded Cromwell!
