Yes nice shots, and no the Trislander wasn’t heading for Bembridge, IIRC it was Guernsey.
Oh right I guess if its going to Guernsey it could be for Aurigny.

Excellent shots there, and at your boys ages even more so.
Its good to know future generations are still interested in the wonders of aviation, and displaying some real tallent.
Hats off to ya!! 🙂

Hi cloud sorry but i have booked first place in the line:o. the settings on their camera is set to P, and the file is raw, auto white balance, high speed shooting, basically just mess around with the camera and try out each setting as it will differ for each outing. hope you enjoy your new camera if santa claus is good to you and i look forward to seeing your results.
I will let you know when i have been given lessons from them as it could take quite a while:D

Hi
Very dynamic photos- lots of action and very sharp. Could be careers in the making! Very well done to Robert and Jonathan.
From what I remember of my one and only trip in a Trislander from Jersey to the then Portsmouth Airport was just how tight the accommodation was and how close you were to the “driver”. No loos either and no trolly dolly! Fun though…

Hi Rab,
They often say that people are born with specific talents, it is clear your sons were blessed with the ability to take fantastic photographs!
Tell them to keep up with the good work!
My favoruite shot has to be the Trislander. Although it is all white, it is fabulous aircraft!
Just out of interest though, I am hopefully getting the Fujifilm s5700 this Christmas, which I know is quite similar to the one your sons have. I would like to know what settings that they use on their camera, as I am also a beginner at photography and would like to be able to develop a talent such as theirs!
Perhaps they could give me lessons…?!:D

thanks for the comments guys they are much appreciated, adam the darkside started off as a joke because of a situation that happened at glasgow and it has just carried on from there. Si the problem i have with my two is i cant keep them away from the airport and i think i will be swapping cameras and getting some advice from them 😮
Again guys comments much appreciated.

Considering the ages of these two talented young men, I am very impressed.
Just out of interest what is ‘Darkside Aviation” or rather where did the name come from?

Move over Rab, I think you have competition! They are really good shots, particularly the Trilander. Unfortunatley (or fortunatley) I have three daughters, One is an Air Engineer, One is cabin crew for Thomson and one wants to fly Jersey Girl for Virgin Atlantic…..she is 10!, when I suggest going to the airport for phots they tell me to bog off!!
Tell the boys they have talent!
All the best
Si
