RE: Buran
The Buran was different from the US Space shuttle in that it did not have rocket engines used at takeoff. It of course had manouvering thrusters but didn’t need extra main engines to assist the energyia launch rocket.
Some of the prototypes were fitted with jet engines and could be used for landing practise. The jet engines allowed recovery and repeated landing attempts.

RE: Buran
There are in fact 6 Buran airframes, four acted as proto- and development craft (some of these were flown, but none of these was launched) and two production craft, one of which indeed was launched with on the Energiya. One is on display at Moscow’s Gorki Park (not as a restaurant though), one is for sale, one is in a hangar at Bajkonur, and i don’t know about the other ones.

RE: Buran
I did have an inkling it was actually a restaurant but wasn’t confidant enough to say for sure.

RE: Buran
One is indeed a resturant in Moscow, the other was auctioned off for $6 million, but suprisingly no takers. I do belive NASA has looked over it for a tech harvest no doubt.
