Knew that title would rope a few of you in (apologies to my fellow antipodeans), but I do need assistance.
A330Crazy has sent me a lovely little picture to use as my avatar. Trouble is, I haven’t a clue how to attach it.
Can one of you terribly switched on, probably under 20 year olds who grew up with computers since kindergarten, please post the instructions, STEP BY STEP for an old fart, so that I can have a crack at doing this?

Well, it worked last night, but now I see it’s fritzed again.
Thanks for the assistance guys, but I dont think I’ll bother pursuing this any further for the moment.

Any kind of picture editor gonna do the job.
Microsoft Photo Editor for instance if you aren’t “Microsoft-phobic”:)

Yes it worked!!! Thanks a lot guys. Very help full!! I had the gif file and didn’t know how to get it to work but thanks to Wombat for asking, Hand87_5 for instructions and Rabie for the idea to use this site as the URL. Feed back coming your way guys!

seams like you don’thave the picture online so you may need to upload it onto the net – ie post it here as an attachment like you normally post a picture – then follow the instructions for using an image off the net

*Login to your profile in the forum.Then click on the “User Menu” link in the top right hand corner of the screen and go to “Edit your profile”.
*Go down to the bottom of the screen where it says, “Avatar Images”.
Find an image that you want. If its on the internet, do this. Right click on the image and click, “Properties”. It will give you the address of the picture. Put the address in the Avatar Image URL box, and it will show up on your profile in the forum.
You may need to resize it so the image looks right.
